Confidence Diagnostic™
When money and time are leaking and nobody can say where

Find out what the business is quietly costing you.
And the first fix that pays it back.

Know where the money and time are leaking, what's worth protecting, and which fix pays back first — before you spend on the next system or the next hire. Every decision after that stays yours.

You're probably here because

It works because you're watching it

The business runs — through you. Take a week away and something slips.

The reports are done. Nobody trusts them.

So the big decisions get made on instinct, because the numbers take too long to argue about.

A big decision is coming

A new system, another site, the next generation stepping in. You want to know what you're standing on first.

“We paid for the system and we still run most of it on Excel.”

Something we hear in almost every first conversation

Where the money goes — and what's worth keeping

How you run is why you win. Some of it is also what's costing you. Telling the difference is the work.

Working — protect it

This is why customers choose you
  • How your team quotes a short-notice order mid-season
  • The grower terms only your people know how to honor
  • The quality checks that keep every load clean

Quietly costing you

Habit, workaround or blind spot
  • Field tickets keyed twice — once on the truck, once in the office
  • A spreadsheet only one person can update
  • A month-end that takes a week because three systems disagree

Fix first

The moves that unlock the rest
  • The handoff where orders lose a day
  • The one report leadership actually decides on
  • The knowledge that lives in one person's head
Why it's worth knowing. Every one of these gets decided eventually — by a vendor's template, a new hire, or the next crisis. Sort them first and you keep what wins customers, stop paying for what doesn't, and put your next dollar where it pays back. See what one messy process costs a year →

How we find it

A system isn't software. It's how your people, your process and your technology work together — including the parts nobody wrote down.

  • People. Who decides, who carries the knowledge, and what happens when they're out.
  • Process. How the work actually flows — workarounds included.
  • Technology and data. What each system is used for, what it's trusted for, and where people re-key.

We talk to the people doing the work, not only leadership. The workarounds live with them.

What a clear picture turns up

Over half

of one operation's working day sat outside every system and every report. Nobody can manage what nobody can see.

A family-owned operation · shared anonymously
~90%

less time spent on timekeeping after a second-generation family business moved off handwritten timecards. The payroll administrator went from keying every card to reviewing them.

Neither one showed up on a report. That's the point of looking.

In your hands at the end

  • What's quietly costing you — in dollars, hours and risk, from your own numbers
  • The first fix, and what it pays back
  • What's worth protecting when you change systems — named, so it survives the change
  • The moves after that, in the order that unlocks the rest
  • A delivery session with your leadership team, so everyone leaves agreeing on what to do

And what stays yours

  • Every decision about what to do with it
  • Your team, your vendors and your systems — we don't touch configuration, code or data entry
  • Everything we found, whether or not we work together again

Sized to your operation

One fixed scope, quoted after the application call. The size depends on how much of the business the picture has to cover.

Standard

One site, clear scope. The most common place to start.

Complex

Several sites, or work that's regulated, food-grade or seasonal. We spend time on site.

Enterprise

Several entities, an acquisition, or a major structural change in front of you.

“When we first approached MIS-Fit for an IS Strategy Roadmap, we weren't sure where to start. The roadmap was a revelation — clear, actionable steps tailored to our unique needs. MIS-Fit made what seemed insurmountable feel manageable and exciting. We're now more confident than ever in our tech strategy.”

What comes next is your call

The Diagnostic tells you where to start. If you want the order and the business case worked out with you, that's The Action Plan — and then your team runs it, with us alongside for as long as it's useful.

You are here

Confidence Diagnostic

Find what's quietly costing you, and the first fix that pays it back.

The Action Plan

The first moves in order, each with its business case — so leadership can commit to it and the team can run it.

Leadership through the work

Your team carries the plan. We bring the judgment as the decisions land and keep the plan honest to how you run.

Ongoing Systems Leadership →
Every step stands on its own. Stop after any one of them and keep everything you have. The Action Plan always follows a Diagnostic, because a plan built on someone else's picture of your business is a template.

Three things we ask of you

The leader who owns the decisions

In the kickoff and in the delivery session. The findings land differently when the person who can act on them hears them first-hand.

Access to the people doing the work

Office, shop, field or dock. A short conversation with each is usually enough.

Room for the honest answer

Some of what we find will be uncomfortable. That's usually the part that pays for the work.

Our commitment

If, at the delivery session, you tell us nothing we found is worth acting on, we refund your fee in full. Fixed scope and a fixed price, agreed before we start — if the work runs long, that's on us, not on your invoice.

Nothing worth acting on? Your fee back.

Common questions

What is the Confidence Diagnostic?

A fixed-scope engagement that finds what your operation is quietly costing you — in money, time and risk — and the first fix that pays it back. We get there by looking at how the business actually runs: people, process and technology together. Your leadership team gets it in plain language, with the numbers attached.

Why is it application only?

Because it only works when the leader who owns the decisions is part of it. The application is a thirty-minute call. If the Diagnostic isn't the right first step for you, we'll say so — and tell you what is.

Is this an IT audit?

No. An IT audit checks whether the technology is running. The Diagnostic looks at whether the whole system — your people, your process and your technology together — runs the business the way you need it to. Technology is one part of the picture, and usually not the part that's costing the most.

Who do you talk to?

Leadership, and the people doing the work. The workarounds live with the people closest to them — the report someone rebuilt by hand, the step that happens on Fridays because one person knows to do it. A picture drawn only from the leadership table misses them.

What does it cost?

A fixed price for a defined piece of work, quoted after the application call and sized to your operation — one site, several sites, or several entities. No hourly billing, no meter running, no surprise invoice: if the work takes longer than we expected, that's our problem, not yours. And if, at the delivery session, you tell us nothing we found is worth acting on, we refund your fee in full.

How long does it take?

We commit to the outcome rather than to a calendar. How quickly we get there depends on access to your people and the pace of your season — both of which are yours to set.

What happens after the Diagnostic?

That's your call. Many leaders take the findings straight into The Action Plan, which puts the first moves in order with the business case for each. Some run with the findings themselves. Either way, everything we found is yours to keep.

Do you sell or implement software?

No. We resell no software, run no implementations and take no vendor commissions. Nothing we find changes what we earn from a vendor — because we earn nothing from vendors.

Start with a thirty-minute application call

Tell us what's straining and what's coming up. We'll tell you honestly whether the Diagnostic is the right first step — and if it isn't, what is.
